The first week of the tea party (candle pin) bowling league will be THIS Wednesday Feb 16th at 6 p.m. Parking is in the garage across of the alley.

This week we are simply bowling to establish averages, Teams will be made based upon them. It will be an 80% handicap league

If you wish to join simply show up. The Cost is $7.50 each for the two strings plus shoes and part of the funds go to the local tea party.

And remember at the end of the season the players on the winning team get their choice of a $20 amazon card or a year of Rush 24/7.

So show up at Putnam Street Lanes, Putnam Street Fitchburg (just off of main in the same building as Premiere subs) and bowl with DaTechGuy.

Where: Putnam Street Lanes 14 Putnam Street Fitchburg (Oldest candlepin lanes in the USA)

When: The First and 3rd Wednesdays of the month

What time: 6 p.m.

Type of league: 80% Handicap

Scoring: 5 pts 2 pts for sting, 1 pt for total pins

Cost: $3.75 per string plus shoes

Excess funds go to: Twin City Tea Party

Prizes: Members of the winning team get their choice of An Amazon gift certificate or a yr membership to Rush 24/7

Putnam Street lanes is on Putnam street Fitchburg and has been there for 120 years. For those of you who don’t know how Candle Pin bowling works here is a quick peek:

That doesn’t happen to me too often but it’s stuff like this that makes candlepin bowling such a challenge and why there has never been a perfect game in candlepin and the smaller balls are easier for kids and the elderly to keep rolling.
