There was a bit of a backup at the registration table as there was apparently a different list for CPAC bloggers than regular registration (sadly Tommy Christopher had a pre-set credential and I did not) but once Tabatha Hale got here all was cleared up. (Is there a young lady who works harder than her?)

The bloggers lounge is slowly filling.

Midnight Blue is just settling down next to me and Katy of Katy’s conservative corner is near her:

The internet has been very spotty I’m trying to upload video and photos and everything freezes.

Michelle Bachmann spoke early. I guarantee you that Chris Matthews will complain that the debt didn’t start in 1776 (actually the debt began on independence once we started borrowing money) I’m sure that they will avoid showing the entire speech. It’s very hard to paint her as a “balloonhead” if people actually hear her talk

Update: Pictures we got Pictures!

After flying in went to the Radison Largo right at the end of the Metro line. Not a bad hotel but it’s a long trip to CPAC from here, but when I get the credit card bill it will feel better.

I’ve run into a dazzling array of bloggers and movers and shakers, managed to meet Herman Cain and have interviewed quite a few folks (posts up during the day).

There is a 2nd conference that is leaving a liberal Good Jobs Green Jobs conference that drew maybe 500-1000 (about a 10th of a boycotted CPAC) and I interviewed some of those folks too.

this morning it is off to the CPAC to get my credentials and be ready for Michelle Bachmann at 10 a.m.

Allenn West as the keynote is brilliant choice.

BTW I don’t get a vote for the Reagan award but I’d give it to Andrew Breitbart.

I’ll update when I can

vis-a-vis Chris Lee.

Let me explain something: If you want to be a member of Congress and screw around, join the Democratic Party. You can screw around all you want and no problem, if you’re a Democrat. But you can’t do that and be a Republican member of Congress.

As we have learned the media will forgive anything and everything if you are a democrat. If you are a republican, not only will the media not forgive you but as a rule the republican voter expects better or as Allahpundit puts it.

It’s a classic “boy meets girl” story. Girl places ad in Craigslist’s “Women for Men” forum; boy responds and kicks off a long, flirty e-mail exchange; boy ends up sending girl cheesy cell-phone photos of him with his shirt off; girl forwards photos and e-mails to Internet gossip site known for lurid stories about politicians and their hook-ups.

Oh, almost forgot: Boy neglected to tell girl that he’s married, with children, and happens to be a Republican congressman from New York. Or rather, ex-congressman:

Guys this is the digital age, you can’t get away with this kind of thing
