…And welcome to round 2. Johnson comes out for Round 2 swinging, McCain counterpunches we have some strong action in round one as Johnson ladned a flurry of blows, McCain blocks and counters.
To this point Johnson has been on the offense. We know Johnson has a strong methotical and unrelenting attacks from his victories in the Rather and Mapes fights.
McCain has been countering and putting up a good defense here in Round 2, but has yet to shift to offense, as we’ve seen in the Griffin and Audrey fights. McCain tends to mount his offense in mid to late rounds but they simply overpower their opponents.
We will keep you informed of the fights’ progress throughout the day as time permits.
I suspect this will be as epic and violent a contest as the Marciano Vingo fight from December of 1949.
One oddity of this fight will be that McCain lives on the east coast and Johnson on the west so McCains blows and counters will generally be morning blows while Johnson will strike in the evening.
If ego alone won battles, Charles Johnson would be a modern Alexander the Great. Well, he would be Charles Johnson the Great.
But right now, Charles is quickly going from “not so great” to “pathetic and lame.”
Charles has done ok in the battles he has fought, the main reason being once he thinks he’s right, that’s it.
What I think is most important about him is that as a 9/11 conservative he is exactly the kind of person we want supporting the troops, opposing Radical Islam and backing Israel. It is the person who would normally be liberal on social issues that needed to be convinced.
30 Years ago he would be a “Scoop Jackson” democrat. Regardless of if you think he is right or wrong about Stacy McCain (I suspect he is wrong and it’s my nature to take a man’s word on a subject.) It is much more important to the country and the world to have as many liberals with us in the fight that matters.
You can repeal tax laws and bills like the foolish health plan stuff, you can’t unlose a war or unkill civilians. Eyes on the prize.
I think however that Charles sometimes loses sight of that in terms of allies, but that’s up to him.
As far as Stacy goes he has been exactly right. This is a matter of honor and you have to fight to defend your good name. I think if more people were concerned about that the world would be a better place.
McCain being McCain

[…] As I followed the fight in detail I investigated in the same way and concluded that Charles behavior dishonorable: However there is another factor here, Robert Stacy McCain is the father of six. Those six carry his name and to some degree his reputation. He is fighting for their honor, his father honor and his great grandfather’s honor. He also as a father has to set the example for his children to stand up for themselves. If he lets this go without satisfaction he the example he will be setting will be terrible. As a father I see it and nod. […]
