REAL “Islamophobia” in Action

One of the favorite charges of the left against the right when we warn about radical Islam ( or as others would phrase it: “Islam” ) are charges of “Islamophobia”.

Adding “phobia” to the end of words has been a cottage industry for the left to attack any person who disagrees with them. Don’t want drag queens twerking at kids you’re “Transphobic”, etc etc etc It’s gotten so bad that at a school in my own state, a trans kid was found with a hit list and is being allowed to stay in school and parents and students who object are being hit in this way.

But from the moment we discovered the idents of the men who put jets into the twin towers the left has trotted out the term “Islamophobia” for anyone who raises any objection to terrorist actions perpetuated by the Religion of PeaceTM which suggests that any fear of radical Islam is unfounded. This is despite the fact that in the month of March of this year alone there were over 150 terror attacks by Muslims in 22 different countries that killed 772 and wounded 668 which included 7 suicide attacks. They are part of the 45,160 deadly attacks since Sept 11th 2001 that they have perpetuated.

What I find particularly amusing about these charges of “Islamophobia” (which has since become such a common word that it now appears in auto-corrects) is that while they are generally leveled by the left against the right the single best examples of it today are in fact on the left among people of the left that are in authority.

Take the campus “protests” and “occupations” taking place all over the US. In states where the right are in power the law is being enforced and any such protests are not allowed to cross legal lines without consequences and even beyond the campus when such “protestors” supporting the genocidal Islamic terror group Hamas attempt to block streets not only are they arrested but there are laws in some states that allow drivers who are blocked by such protestors to continue driving putting all the risks of being in the road on them.

Yet in blue states such protests are allowed to block major throughways with little or no consequences to the point were police are ordered to protect such folks from angered drivers. Why? Because those in power are afraid of said protestors targeting them and fear for their own safety if they do.

In other words they have a “phobia” of these people protesting in the name of Islam.

“But DaTechGuy” you counter. “Isn’t this just the Democrats trying to appease angry Muslims in Michigan in order to keep Trump from winning the state?”

That’s a fair point, although one might call that a “phobia” too but it doesn’t explain what is happening in England where police have actually detained Jews for being openly Jewish on public streets while “protestors” violate existing laws on assembly and speech while at the same time rigorously enforcing said laws on people who pray silently at abortion clinics or post an opinion online that the left finds offensive.

That doesn’t have anything to do with the election in America, that has to do with the Brits knowing that if they confront terror supporters they will fight back violently because they didn’t heed the warnings of those who said such folks are a danger to let in.

In short if you want to look at people who are suffering from “Islamophobia” look at our friends on the left because this fear is driving their inaction all over the world, and most importantly, despite the use of the term in question this fear is entirely rational.

Other than the Professional activists who are being paid to upend universities I would be real money that the girls at the “Free Palestine” protests are there for status and self esteem and the guys are there in the hopes of getting laid.

In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if more than one guy at these “camps” are taking liberties that they shouldn’t and the ladies who are being taken advantage of are told not to talk about it, complain about it or report it for the sake of the cause.

I don’t care what Radio host he said it to does anyone really believe Joe Biden circa 2024 is going to take a stage opposite of Donald Trump?

Cripes they don’t even let him walk to the airplane or helicopter without being surrounded for fear of people seeing how fragile he is and you’re going to put him in front of Trump who will ask Biden before millions of eyes how heavily did they have to drug you up to get you to this podium?

If they thought Biden could stand up to Trump they wouldn’t have spent the last year trying to jail him.

The White House Correspondents dinner is going on as I type. The folks at the Lincoln Project are suggesting it’s going to be a big win for Biden. Given the hundreds of protestors outside making trouble, all leftists btw, I think this is another example of redefining words.

The real irony is just about all the journalists in their spend most of their time whitewashing the crimes both of Hamas and the protestors themselves, but every revolution eventually eats their own allies.

As you might have heard Bill Barr who did his level best to ignore and enable the steal of 2020 by inaction endorsed Donald Trump for 2024 on the grounds that whatever he might think of Trump, Joe Biden and the Democrats are an actual threat to freedom.

Trump being Trump accepted the endorsement listing all the names that he has called Barr and stated from now on the label “lethargic” will be removed from the list.

CNN hoped to pounce on this but Barr just laughed and when pressed listed all the ways that freedoms are being threatened by the Biden Administration rules that were not being done under Trump.

That’s how bad this administration has been, they’ve got Bill Barr doubling down on an endorsement of Trump.

Finally I was out with a devout young friend of mine who was once my boss. He was part of the layoff at my place but because he is a hard worker and very talented he quickly found another job at a better pay and has by that hard work advanced himself admirably.

We went to Buffalo Wild wins and caught the Celtics vs Heat game and the end of the Red Sox Cubs game while we were at it. As I watched the finish of the Redsox game which carried into the 2nd quarter of the Celtics playoff game I saw something I had never seen before.

The Celtics have a spectacular defense and put on a show during the first quarter of the game. How much of a show? It took the NBA’s Miami heat until 2-3 minutes into the 2nd quarter before they managed to outscore the Boston Red Sox who put up 17 against the Cubs today.

If the Celtics play this kind of defense during the rest of this playoff run I don’t see how any team beat them. Bill Russell would have been proud of them.

Liberal college campuses typically try to distinguish and distance themselves from the military. For the longest time, many campuses had banned or essentially banned ROTC, although that has waned in the past decade. The longtime myth was that the military was a place of last resort for people who couldn’t otherwise make it in college. Given the recent trend of college life breeding anti-semitism and people that can’t seem to perform basic activities like reading, I give the military the upper hand on this one.

College and the military now share one very dark truth when it comes to prosecuting crimes. President Biden recently changed many Trump-era Title IX regulations that required due process in dealing with sexual harassment claims. In the past, if you accused someone of sexual assault on campus, the accused person had a right to confront the accuser and demand evidence. That seems so basic, yet campuses howled in pain at being required to take seriously accusations and, you know, actually look for evidence before disciplining students.

That’s entirely gone now. You can now, quite literally, accuse a fellow student of sexual assault, not provide evidence, and if the judge is persuaded by your story, your fellow student can be kicked out of the school without ever getting the chance to provide his or her side of the story.

That sounds insane to anyone who thinks justice is important. But its exactly like another system that exists in the US Military called non-judicial punishment (NJP).

Now, the “non-judicial” title might make you think it is some sort of proceeding that will be swept under the rug and not really hurt you. That couldn’t be further from the truth. NJP can impose some harsh punishments, such as cutting half of your pay for up to 2 months as well as restricting you to a barracks room for up to two months. More importantly, any NJP action can basically end your career. The military’s high year tenure system means if you don’t advance to a certain rank after so much time, they can separate you with the stroke of a pen.

The military has been under the gun to “do something” about sexual assault, so its not uncommon anymore to see someone accused of sexual assault get punished at NJP even with a lack of evidence. That’s because NJP, like Title IX, uses the “preponderance of evidence” standard, meaning that you don’t have to prove something beyond a reasonable doubt, just that there is some evidence that might point to the person being guilty. It could simply be a statement from the accuser. It doesn’t have to be scrutinized, it just needs to be persuasive to the military officer holding NJP.

The military and college campuses can now both hold claim to being centers of injustice in America.

Today I was reading a piece by Robert F. Graboyes PhD who is advocating the destruction of his Alma Marta Columbia University in order to save the University System in a piece titled Columbia Delenda Est.

Cato’s entreaty—“Carthago Delenda Est”—was intended not only to punish the Carthaginians, but also to warn other states from behaving as Carthage had. Laying waste to Columbia’s prestige would send a chilling message to other institutions choosing to tolerate, appease, and celebrate threats and acts against Jews.

While the entire article is worth your time I took note of a specific bit of it that I think speaks volumes (Emphasis Mine)

For states and morally upright colleges, make it easier for those students to transfer to your institutions. For example, in January, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ordered his state’s universities to waive usual transfer requirements for Jewish students facing “well-founded fear of religious persecution” elsewhere and urged Florida’s universities to offer in-state tuition and scholarships to financially disadvantaged transfer students.

Now I’ve always been a believer that the right thing is also the smart thing and this is a perfect example because doing the right thing: Giving Jewish students in fear of their safety a refuge is the smart thing: Attracting students who are interested in actually learning rather than protesting and are from an ethnic/religious group that despite being 0.2% of the population of the world accounts for 22% of the Nobel Prizes which is a rate of 11,250% above average.

But even more important than that fact DeSantis did this in JANUARY the same month that the president of Harvard resigned. He was smart enough to see that it wasn’t the end, it was the beginning of what was coming and took action long before Columba descended into the pit.

That’s what far sighted leadership is. Anticipating a problem in the early stages and advancing a solution that both solves the problem and helps the organization you are leading.

DeSantis’ move is a godsend for Jewish students who no longer feel safe in the Ivy league but it will be a bigger godsend for the Universities in Florida who will get an influx of hard working motivated students, donor dollars from the families of those hard working students and with a little luck end up hosing a future Nobel Prize winner who will of course attract more high level scholars and thus dollars to the state.

Thus Ron DeSantis’ decision to do the right thing will benefit the people of Florida long after he is out of office, perhaps even long after he is dead and gone.

That’s why is was my first choice in 2024 and will likely be my first choice in 2028 no matter what happens in November and it’s a reason why more than just Jewish students in fear of their lives are heading to Florida in droves.

Unexpectedly of course.
